LOTRO: Player Feed

Turbine has announced the launch of a new social app for The Lord of the Rings Online called the "Player Feed."  Now you can let your Facebook friends know about the achievements of your Lord of the Rings Online characters via the new Player Feed.

You can now keep your friends up to date on your status in The Lord of the Rings^TM Online^TM! Install the new LOTRO Player Feed application on your Facebook page and it will update your status with your latest accomplishments and let your friends know when you are logged in to the game. Here's how to get started

First, you need to grab the application. Hit the Applications button on the bottom left of your Facebook page and click on "Browse more Applications". Search for LOTRO Player Feed and install it. You can also use our direct link to get up and running quickly.

Now you'll need to register. Your LOTRO Community login is the same information you use to log into the official LOTRO Forums or your my.lotro.com page.

After you have everything configured to your liking, log into LOTRO and the application will update your status! It might take a minute or two for the information to process and post.

The application will only update the first time you log in for a session and again after you have been logged out for at least 10 minutes. Your accomplishments will then be added to your Facebook news feed.

If you decide to remove the application or change your settings you can do so at any time using your Facebook page's application settings! Once you remove the application you will no longer receive news feeds or status updates.
